Frequently asked questions

Why can’t I find my photos?

A few reasons, and most resolve themselves. The photographer may still be uploading, or the album may still be processing, in which case your photos will appear shortly. Some albums can only be opened with the link the photographer sent you. Some photographers turn face matching off for an event, so those albums can’t be searched by selfie at all. And sometimes you’re simply not in the frames that were kept. If you’re stuck, email us.

What happens to my selfie?

It’s used to find your face in the photographs and then it’s gone — we don’t keep it. The one exception is if you turn on match alerts, which asks your permission first and keeps a face signature until it expires or you delete it. The full detail is in our Privacy & Biometric Notice.

I don’t want a photo of me on Findpic. How do I get it removed?

Email info@findpic.co. The easiest thing you can send us is a link to the photograph or the album — open it, copy the address from your browser, and paste it in. If you can’t find it, tell us the event and roughly when it was and we’ll look. You don’t need a Findpic account, and you don’t need to explain why.

What do I actually get when I buy a photo?

The full-resolution file with no watermark, licensed for your personal use — print it, share it, post it on your own social media. It’s yours permanently and you can re-download it whenever you like. The photographer keeps the copyright, and commercial use like advertising or resale isn’t included; if that’s what you need, get in touch and we’ll arrange it with the photographer.

Can I get a refund?

Sometimes — see our refunds policy. If a download failed you don’t need a refund: sign in and download it again, at no further cost.

Who am I buying from?

The photographer who took the picture. Findpic is the platform they use to deliver and sell their work — the payment goes to them, and their business name appears on your receipt.

Why is there a watermark on the photos?

So you can see the photograph properly before deciding to buy it. The file you receive after buying has no watermark.

Why does my photo have the photographer’s logo on it?

Some photographers add their own logo or frame to the photographs they give away for free. It isn’t a watermark and it isn’t there to stop you using the picture — it’s how a photographer gets credit for work they handed out at no charge. It’s their choice, album by album, and plenty don’t use it at all.

How do I stop receiving emails?

Findpic doesn’t send marketing email. The only ones you can switch off are match alerts — the optional “we found you in a new album” notifications — from the link at the bottom of any alert or in your account settings. Everything else we send is a reply to something you or your photographer did: a sign-in code, an order confirmation, a link to an album. Turning alerts off doesn’t affect photos you’ve already bought.

Something else?

Email info@findpic.co and a person will read it.
